This also includes proactively initiating in depth core troubleshooting during outages, equipment failures, or merely for providing the customer needed network knowledge.

·   The fiber plant consists of CWDM for maximum growth capability by using separate wavelengths as well as DWDM, which allows multiple channels to be split out of each wavelength over various backbones within our fiber footprint.

·   Designs are completed using Microsoft Visio to show network schematics, over multiple L2 and L3 interfaces through the Charter core network, to include the last mile to the customer. Going further to provide various WAN, ELAN, ELINE, and redundant DS3 and 100Mb circuits to multiple wireless providers for cell sites.

·   I am also responsible for the installation, configuration, test and turn up at the customer premises, providing fiber or Eth handoff per the customers request as well as BGP for backup ISP if needed.

·   Each new circuit requires a BOM to be correctly itemized and allocated to each site on design and needs to reflect the fiber plant build costs, as well as any equipment needed for core upgrade and customer prem location. All designs go through a Design Review process for approval before proceeding to implementation.

·   Standard equipment used in circuit deployments are as follows; Aurora 2016b media convertor chassis, Aurora CH3000 media convertor chassis with 4XT1 capabilities, Fujitsu 4100 for DS3s, Telco T5C, T340/380 chassis for standard Inet and data services, Juniper 2320 and SRX 100/240/and 650 routers. Secure CRT, Puddy, and web gui via device IP are used to remotely access most of my equipment over VPN and RSA token.

·   All circuits are verified by testing with EXFO 200-850 (fiber/ Managed Ethernet) for, throughput, frame loss, and  latency. Acterna T-Berd 2209  is used for testing copper T1/DS3. I also use an OTDR to verify fiber, and an OCC-55 light meter to isolate any interference across any specific wavelength.

·   Any core configurations are completed through a Change process through Remedy, or ACP network change systems, to include a Detailed MOP for all work to be performed.

·   Issues are always followed to completion to guarantee customer is satisfied and all needs have been met or addressed.
